PURCHASING TEAM. Hancock’s Retail Operations Center (the ROC) is made up of a team of experts with over 150 years of combined experience in the building materials industry! The ROC watches the market, tracks trends and pricing to make smart buying decisions and always prioritizes being competitively priced. Our relationships with vendors, distributors, manufacturers and mills is second to none. We meet with a cross-section of employees every other month to discuss builder needs, new product opportunities and issues that need to be addressed.
PRODUCT QUALITY. The ROC sources only top quality products from vendors and mills. Hancock Lumber led the way in Maine bringing in private label superior grade studs. We know our builders’ top priority is lumber quality and take that seriously. Once we bring the product to our lumberyards, we keep it protected with warehouses and under cover yard storage. When delivering, we take the step to carefully stage and secure product so it arrives at your job site in the same condition as when it was received in our yard.
